InterviewEdit

I'd be surprised if Pixar announced solid plans to make a Cars 3 since they already have a decent-sized list of movies they're working on. I would love to see a third movie but I don't mind waiting several years for it, just as there were five years between the first two films. In the meantime I'm sure we'll get to enjoy a few Cars Toons and hopefully some excellent comics and books that continue their adventures.

I haven't read anything official about another movie. Even though I think the movie was fantastic and they have nothing to be ashamed of, it didn't always get the best reviews from critics (regardless of the box office receipts) and it would probably be a bad strategic move for a studio to announce a sequel immediately after the movie was not as well-received as it could have been.
