Fletch is a 1985 comedy film about an investigative newspaper reporter, Irwin M. Fletcher.

The film was directed by Michael Ritchie and written by Andrew Bergman, based on the popular Gregory Mcdonald novels. Tim Matheson, Dana Wheeler-Nicholson, and Joe Don Baker appear in supporting roles.


Los Angeles news reporter Irwin "Fletch" Fletcher is offered a large sum of money to murder a millionaire named Alan Stanwyk who has cancer and as Fletch investigates, he discovers that Stanywk is actually healthy.
