From Sept 24, 1964 to April 14, 1967 "Gillgian's Island" was a 3 seaon 98 part episode comedy of 7 castaways who went for a 3 hour Hawaii Island tour and end up shipwrecked for nearly 20 years!
From 1978 to 1981 three sequel movies were filmed. Of the original cast only Tina Louise declined to play the part of castaway Ginger Grant in the three sequel movies.
- 1978 "Rescue from Gilligan's Island" the castaways finally get off the Island. A year later thanks to Gilligan they are trapped right back on the Island again!
- 1979 "The Castaways on Gilligan's Island" the Castaways decied to stay on Gilligan's Island and build a resort.
- 1981 "The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Ilsand" after the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team crash lands on Gilligans Island-the Globetrotters play a game with a rival millionaire to control of the resort!
