This article is about feature films released under the Disney brand. For a broader list of the Walt Disney Company films, see List of films released by Disney.

sl:Predloga:Drugipomeni4 vi:Tiêu bản:Otheruses4 </noinclude> This is a list of theatrical films released under the Walt Disney Pictures film label (known as that since 1983, with Never Cry Wolf as its first release) and films released before that under the former name of the parent company, Walt Disney Productions (1928-1983). Most films listed here were distributed in the United States by the company's distribution division; Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, formerly known as Buena Vista Distribution Company (1954-1987) and Buena Vista Pictures Distribution (1987-2007).

This list is organized by year of release date and includes live action feature films, animated feature films (including films developed and produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios), and documentary films (including titles from the True-Life Adventures series and films produced by the Disneynature label).

However, this list does not include films released by other existing, defunct or divested labels or subsidiaries owned by The Walt Disney Studios (i.e. Marvel Studios, Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, Miramax Films, Dimension Films, ESPN Films etc.), foreign produced films released in the United States under the Walt Disney Pictures name that are solely produced by a third-party studio (e.g. Studio Ghibli) nor any direct-to-video releases, theatrical re-releases, or films originally released by other non-Disney studios.

Notes[]

  • Since 2012, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures began distributing Marvel Studios' films following The Walt Disney Company's acquisition of Marvel Entertainment in 2009, but those films are distinct as they have only been branded as Marvel and not Disney (e.g. The Avengers), similar to how Touchstone Pictures and Hollywood Pictures titles have been marketed since 1984.[38] Neitherless, the Marvel Studios films appear alongside Disney-branded features, unlike other non Disney-branded films, including Disney's online site.[39] However, to remain consistent, this list does not include Marvel films distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, unless such films are explicitly Disney-branded in their original releases or in a future re-release. Neitherless, Walt Disney Pictures only distributes films produced by Marvel Studios.
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas was marketed under the Touchstone Pictures label for its original 1993 release, and was rebranded as a Walt Disney Pictures film for the 2006 re-release. The change is in legal terms insignificant, as the copyright has always been held by The Walt Disney Company.[40]
