Paul Leonard Newman (January 26, 1925 – September 26, 2008) was an American actor, film director, entrepreneur, professional racing driver and team owner, environmentalist, activist and philanthropist. He won numerous awards, a BAFTA Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Cannes Film Festival Award, an Emmy Award, and many honorary awards.

Newman appeared in films such as The Long, Hot Summer, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958), Exodus, The Hustler, Sweet Bird of Youth, Hud, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Verdict, The Color of Money, Nobody's Fool (1994) and Road to Perdiction.
