The Star Wars Holiday Special is an American science fiction musical television film directed by Steve Binder, as well as David Acomba, who was uncredited. The film stars Harrison Ford, Peter Mayhew, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Mickey Morton, Paul Gale, Patty Maloney, Art Carney, Bea Arthur, Diahann Carroll, Harvey Korman, Jefferson Starship, and David Prowse. It was declared non canon within the Star Wars continuity.
Plot[]
Han Solo and Chewbacca try to get back to Chewie's home planet of Kashyyk for Life Day. While his family (Malla, Itchy, and Lumpy) waits for his arrival, they bide their time by watching various sketches, which include a musical performance by Jefferson Starship, an animated segment, a cooking show, and a documentary series depicting a day in the life of bartender Ackmena (Bea Arthur).
