The Guilt Trip is an American comedy film directed by Anne Fletcher from a screenplay written by Dan Fogelman, starring Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen. It was originally called My Mother's Curse, but soon changed its title.
The story is about an inventor who invites his mother on a cross-country trip as he tries to sell his new product while also reuniting her with a lost love. After deciding to start his adventure with a quick visit at mom's, Andy is guilted into bringing her along for the ride. Across 3,000 miles of ever-changing landscape, he is constantly aggravated by her antics, but over time he comes to realize that their lives have more in common than he originally thought. His motherÂ’s advice might end up being exactly what he needs.
