In Top Gun, Tom Cruise plays Lieutenant Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, a young Naval aviator aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise. He and his Radar Intercept Officer (RIO) Nick "Goose" Bradshaw are given the chance to train at the Navy's Fighter Weapons School. While training, Maverick experiences romance with a female instructor, a tragic death of a close friend in a fatal training accident followed by his overcoming a crisis of confidence and survivor guilt, and the shooting down of several enemy aircraft of unlisted nationality in a dangerous "dogfight".

The two-disc set available for purchase also includes a digital copy of the film and will be enabled with UltraViolet, a new way to collect, access and enjoy movies. UltraViolet will be available in the U.S. only.
